Directions

The Tharu Cultural Museum is located in the heart of Chakhaura, Dang — just a short walk from Chakhaura Chowk and easily accessible from major roads in the area.

By Public Transportation

By Bus:
Local buses and microbuses regularly stop at Chakhaura Chowk, just a 2–3 minute walk from the museum. This is the most convenient and budget-friendly option for visitors coming from nearby towns or Ghorahi city.

By Plane

By Plane:

You can take a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Tulsipur Airport (Dang), which takes about 50 minutes. From Tulsipur, Chakhaura is approximately a 45-minute drive by taxi or local transport. Taxis, jeeps, and buses are available at the airport for onward travel to the museum.

By Car

By Car:

The museum is located just off the main road in Chakhaura, Dang. Visitors can drive via the Ghorahi–Tulsipur road and follow local signage to Chakhaura Chowk. Please note: free parking is not available, but nearby private parking lots can be used for a small fee.
